Local POL production dips 4.52% in 5 months of 2018-19

February 4, 2019: The overall production of petroleum commodities has witnessed a decrease of 4.52 percent during first five months of the current fiscal year as compared to corresponding period of 2017-18.
According to the data of Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, the POL products that showed negative growth include Jet Fuel Oil , Kerosene oil, High Speed Diesel, Furnace Oil, Jute Batching Oil and Solvant Naptha, posting decrease of 7.3 percent, 9.21 percent, 4.07 percent, 13.07 percent, 2.95 percent and 46.86 percent respectively.
However, the production of Motor Spirit oil has increased by 18.10 percent, Diesel oil 38.09 percent, Lubricating oil 15.04 percent and Liquefied Petroleum Gas 39.87 percent during the period under review.
