Jewellery export rises 76% in two months

October 8, 2018:  The export of jewellery from the country witnessed an increase of 76.5 percent in first two months of current fiscal year as compared to same period of last year 2017-18.

According to Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, the jewellery export rose to 1.054 million dollars in July-August (2018-19) against the export worth of 0.597 million dollars recorded during July-August (2017-18).

Meanwhile, export of gems witnessed a slight decrease of 0.35 percent as it declined to 0.571 million dollars in the period under review from 0.573 million dollars in same period of the preceding year.
