IT ministry working to provide quality broadband services to masses

October 07, 2021: The Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication was taking several initiatives for the provision of quality broadband services and working on USF’s 43 projects worth Rs over 29 billion to achieve goals.

An official of the ministry said Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) was taking steps to establish software technology parks across the country to facilitate freelancers.

He said the Ministry of IT was committed to enhancing connectivity and improving digital infrastructure to facilitate the common man.

He said the Ministry was fully committed to increasing IT exports and the steps were being taken in this regard.

The ICT export remittances surged to US $ 2.123 billion at a growth rate of 47.43 percent during the last financial year, he added.

The ministry launched a program to build a network of National Incubation Centers.

It had successfully established five National Incubation Centers (NIC) in the Federal Capital and all Provincial Capitals of the country.
