International gold price firms as traders eye on Fed meeting

September 16, 2020 (MLN): The gold prices in the international market remained unchanged to US $1131 as traders debated the extent of the Fed’s dovish stance.

Fed’s monetary policy meeting will closely be scrutinized for fresh direction in gold prices.

On the contrary, the gold prices went up in the domestic bullion market. The 24-Karat Gold increased by Rs 300 to Rs 115,000 per tola in domestic bullion markets. The precious yellow metal of 24-Karat had closed at Rs 114,700 per tola on the last day.

According to the data released by the All Sindh Saraf Jewellers Association, the price of 10-gram gold increased by Rs 257 to Rs 98,594 against the previous close of Rs 98,337 per-gram.

On the other hand, the price of silver tola and 10-gram silver remained unchanged at Rs 1,320 and Rs. 1,131.68, respectively, the association reported.
