Interbank trade concludes week on a dull note

April 12, 2019 (MLN): The ongoing week ended on a dull note at interbank market as the value of Pakistan Rupee (PKR) against US Dollar (USD) remained within the range of 2 paisa throughout the day, being quoted between PKR 141.38 to PKR 141.41 per USD, before closing the day at 141.39 per USD.

However, the local currency appreciated by 21 paisa against GBP, closing at PKR 184.80 against yesterday’s closing value of PKR 185.01.

In the money market, the State Bank of Pakistan conducted an Open Market Operation (OMO) today and mopped up Rs.907.5 billion for 7 days.

Meanwhile, the Overnight repo rate towards close of session was 10.70/10.90 percent and 1 Week rate was 10.75/10.85 percent.
