Indus Motor shuts down plant amid supply chain disruption

June 02, 2023 (MLN): Indus Motor Company Limited (PSX: INDU) has decided to completely shut down its plant from June 3 to June 8, 2023, amid supply chain disruptions, a notice issued by the company to PSX on Friday showed.
The company and its vendors are facing significant hurdles in importing raw materials and receiving clearance for their consignments from commercial banks.
This has disrupted the entire supply chain and the vendors cannot supply raw materials and components to the company.
Accordingly, the notification read that the company has insufficient inventory levels and cannot continue its production activities.
