IMF, World Bank aid praised by Pakistan's Finance Minister at G-24 gathering

April 17, 2024 (MLN): The Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue expressed appreciation for the continued support of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank in fostering development in Pakistan during yesterday's G-24 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors' Meeting.

He talked about reforms in the areas of taxation, energy, privatization and digitalization.

He further underlined the need to bring in more private sector investment and leverage the "Adaptation Fund" to help the country deal with the adverse impacts of climate change.
