IMF mission engages with Qatar for Pakistan’s economic support

November 14, 2023 (MLN): To secure financial assistance from friendly nations for Pakistan, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission met with the Ambassador of Qatar to discuss financing and investment opportunities.

Friendly countries have assured the release of funds to the IMF mission, sources said.

Discussions were also held regarding the Qatar's potential investment in the IMF's Shared Plan, with particular interest in the recent purchase of Islamabad's new airport.

The IMF mission continues its engagements with ambassadors of allied nations as part of mutual agreements.
