July 17, 2024 (MLN): The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has maintained Pakistan's GDP growth rate projection at 3.5% for the fiscal year 2025.

In its latest World Economic Outlook (WEO) report released on Tuesday, the global lender noted that Pakistan's GDP is projected to grow by 3.5% in FY25, compared to an estimated growth of 2% in FY24.

That compares with the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics' estimate of 2.4% for FY24, and the government's target of 3.6% for FY25.

The growth projection for FY25 is unchanged from the IMF's April WEO report.

Meanwhile, IMF has projected global growth at 3.2% in 2024 and 3.3% in 2025.
