ICT export remittances surge by $257m in 8MFY24

April 02, 2024 (MLN): In a notable development, the ICT export remittances have surged by $257 million or 14.94% to $1.977bn during 8MFY24 compared to $1.72bn reported for the same period last year.

The numbers as mentioned earlier were revealed today by the Ministry Of IT & Telecom through a social media post. 

"Efforts of the Ministry of IT & Telecommunication and the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) in close coordination with the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) on improving the ease of doing business environment is building the IT Industry's confidence, increasing IT & ITeS export remittance receipts," the statement added. 

In February 2024, ICT services export remittances surged to $257m, an astounding increase of 31.79% in comparison to $195m in February 2023.
