ICI Pakistan starts operations at soda ash expansion project

July 01, 2022 (MLN): ICI Pakistan Limited has announced the successful commissioning and commencement of operations of 75,000 tons per annum (TPA) expansion project at its soda ash manufacturing facility in Khewra, a notice to PSX said on Friday.

This expansion is part of the 135,000 TPA expansion project (phase 2) announced earlier.

Subsequent to this addition of 75,000 TPA, the total installed capacity of the soda ash plant of the company now stands at 500,000 TPA.

On June 13, 2022, the company also commissioned a 100% PET Recycled chip unit for the manufacture of Recycled Polyester Staple Fibre at its plant in Sheikhupura.

currently, the stock of the company is trading at Rs727 [2:44 PST], up by 2.45 or 0.34% DoD.
