Hubco explores partnership with BYD to boost electric vehicles in Pakistan

October 20, 2023 (MLN): The Hub Power Company Limited (PSX: HUBC), the leading and largest independent power producer (IPP) of Pakistan, discussed potential collaboration opportunities in the Pakistani automobile sector with BYD, the world's leading electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer.

HUBC unveiled through a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday, that the two companies exchanged views to drive innovation & and growth in Pakistan, terming the meeting as 'productive.'

HUBC urged that a conducive policy framework will be crucial for success.

BYD Co. Ltd. is a publicly listed Chinese conglomerate manufacturing company headquartered in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China.

It is the world's largest electric vehicle manufacturer and is a major manufacturer in automobiles.
