Govt's trust in FM Aurangzeb reflects his professionalism, expertise: Sajjad Anwar

September 15, 2024 (MLN):  Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb was praised for his exceptional professionalism and expertise at the 21st Excellence Award Ceremony hosted by the CFA Society of Pakistan .

The trust placed in him by the government underscores his invaluable contributions to both the public and private sectors, Mr. Sajjad Anwar, President of CFA and CEO of AWT Investments said while highlighting Senator Aurangzeb’s extensive banking experience and his crucial role in navigating the country’s economic challenges during his speech.

The CFA Society of Pakistan held its 21st Excellence Award Ceremony, a landmark event honoring achievements in the financial industry.

 The evening welcomed esteemed guests, including Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, Minister for Finance, and Mr Muhammad Muzzamil Aslam, Adviser for Finance to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Mr. Sajjad emphasized the significance of the event and expressed gratitude to Senator Aurangzeb for his participation as the chief guest. 

Mr. Anwar also acknowledged Mr. Muhammad M. Aslam and the busy schedule of the chief guest, underscoring the importance of their support for the event. 

He extended appreciation to all guests for their participation, which he said underscored the significance of the awards and the shared aspiration to set higher benchmarks in the financial industry.

Reflecting on the journey of the CFA Society over the past two years, Mr. Anwar celebrated the growth of the event and the addition of seven award categories this year, including Banks, Brokerage Houses, Corporate Finance, ESG Reporting, and Gender Diversity in the Workplace. 

These categories represent the Society's mission to promote the highest standards of ethics and professionalism in the financial sector.

The ceremony also recognized the Board of Directors of the CFA Society of Pakistan and the many judges and volunteers who contributed to the awards' evaluation process. 

Their commitment to transparency and impartiality was praised for ensuring that the awards truly reflected merit.

Mr. Anwar extended congratulations to all nominees and winners, noting that their achievements serve as an inspiration for the industry. 

He hoped that the evening would not only celebrate these accomplishments but also act as a catalyst for continuous excellence, upholding ethical standards, and contributing to national prosperity.

The event provided a valuable opportunity for networking, sharing ideas, and strengthening connections within the financial sector.
