Govt working on right sizing of institutions to streamline system: Qaiser

September 04, 2024 (MLN): Federal minister for maritime affairs Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh on Tuesday said that the government is working on right sizing of the institutions to streamline the system, APP reported.

All such entities which are not producing results would be restructured without further delay, he said while talking to PTV.

The government has already taken austerity measures to strengthen national economy and national institutions, he said.

About Pakistan Steel Mills, he said, we have evolved a mechanism so that all such organizations could be made profitable or announce golden handshake for the employees drawing salaries from these non-profitable departments.

In reply to a question about extra expenditure and unnecessary facilities to some officials, he said that all out efforts are being made to avoid wastage of national money.
