Govt to spend Rs7.3tr on loans and interest in FY24

June 09, 2023 (MLN): The government will spend Rs7.3 trillion on loans and interest in FY24, according to the official document available to MG Link News.

The estimated allocation for defense budget is Rs1,804bn while Rs1,464 billion have been allocated for grants in the budget for FY24. The upcoming budget will earmark Rs1,074bn for subsideis.

Meanwhile, the estimated allocation for pensions in the upcoming budget is Rs761bn.

In addition, Rs714bn, Rs950bn, and Rs200bn have been allocated to federal ministries' expenses, development projects, and emergency expenditures, respectively.
