Govt to pay $55bn total debt in five years tenure: Fawad Chaudhry

December 21, 2021 (MLN): The incumbent government will pay $55billion of the total debt payments during its five years tenure compared to $27bn paid by the preceding government, Fawad Hussain Chaudhry, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting informed via his official Twitter handle today.

"The country's debt payment during the FY22 reached $12.27 billion and about same $12.5bn will be in FY23," he added.
