Govt to carry out Panda Bond transaction, seeks Chinese credit rating

June 30, 2024 (MLN): The government of Pakistan is planning to carry out a Panda Bond transaction in the Chinese Capital Markets.
For this purpose, the Finance Division seeks to engage the services of a Chinese Credit Rating Agency, said a request for proposal document issued by the Finance Division on Saturday.
The Finance Division has invited interested Chinese Credit Rating Agencies to submit their proposals individually to work as the government of Pakistan’s Credit Rating Counsel.
Only agencies enlisted/connected with PPRA on E-PADS software as vendors are eligible to give technical and financial proposals.
The deadline for submission is July 29, 2024.
