Govt slashes petrol prices by Rs9 per litre

July 15, 2023 (MLN): The federal government decided to reduce the price of petrol by Rs9 per litre, and high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs7 per litre for the next fortnight, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said on Saturday.

The new prices will come into effect from midnight of July 16, 2023.

The revised petrol and HSD prices are Rs253 and Rs253.5 per litre, respectively.

During the previous fortnight, the government kept the petrol price unchanged at Rs262 per litre. However, the price of HSD had been raised by Rs7.5 per litre.
