Govt slashes fuel prices by up to Rs5.31

February 28, 2025 (MLN): Amidst the recent fluctuations in the international oil market, the federal government has cut petroleum product prices by up to Rs5.31 per litre.

The new rates, effective from March 1, 2025, have been revised following a review by the Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).

According to the Finance Division, the price of High-Speed Diesel (HSD) has been reduced by Rs5.31 per litre, bringing it down to Rs258.64. The price of petrol (MS) has seen a slight decrease of Rs0.50, setting the new rate at Rs255.63 per litre.

Similarly, the price of Superior Kerosene Oil has been slashed by Rs3.53, lowering it to Rs168.12 per litre. Light Diesel Oil (LDO) has also become cheaper by Rs2.47, with the revised price now standing at Rs153.34 per litre.
