Govt likely to raise EOBI pensions by 10% on Labour Day

April 30, 2025 (MLN): The government is likely to raise the pension of registered persons at EOBI by 10%, whereas Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif is to decide on Labour Day.

The government will increase the pension amount by 10%, effective from May 1, where the pension amount will be increased on a monthly disbursement of Rs10,000 to Rs30,000 paid to individuals enrolled at EOBI.

The raise to cost nearly Rs8 billion per month, and the monthly amount would reach around Rs68bn, as per the press release issued today.

There are more than 400,000 registered individuals associated with EOBI.
