Govt increases POL prices by up to Rs13 per litre

March 16, 2023 (MLN): The federal government on Wednesday hiked the prices of petroleum products by up to Rs13 per litre for the next fortnight owing to the significant surge in Platts Singapore prices Pakistani rupee (PKR) depreciation, the notification issued by Finance Division noted.

Accordingly, the price of MS(Petrol) has increased by Rs5 per litre and the price of HSD has increased by Rs13 per litre.

Meanwhile, the increase in the price of Kerosene oil has been kept at Rs2.56 by reducing government dues on it.

Similarly, the price of Light Diesel Oil has been kept constant by adjusting government dues as well.

The new prices will be effective from March 16, 2023.
