October 08, 2024 (MLN): The federal government has announced a three-day public holiday in Islamabad and Rawalpindi to facilitate the smooth conduct of the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit.

"The Prime Minister has been pleased to declare 14, 15 and 16 October, 2024 (Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday) as closed holidays within the territorial limits of Islamabad Capital Territory (MT) and Rawalpindi District to facilitate the smooth conduct of the 23rd Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Council of Heads of Government," reads the notice.
