Governor State Bank calls on PM

August 28, 2019: Governor of State Bank, Reza Baqir called on Prime Minister Imran Khan at the PM Office here Wednesday. The discussion focused on the matters related to the State Bank and national economy.

As per media reports, Governor SBP and PM threw light on the recent stability in the PKR-USD exchange rate.

The Governor briefed the Prime Minister on the outcome of the APG meetings in Canberra and specifically how we successfully avoided any downgrades in individual ratings in the APG’s Mutual Evaluation Report.

The Governor also briefed the PM on the continued improvement in the current account and more generally the positive response to the reform policies.
