Gold slips by Rs300 to Rs125,700 per tola

January 12, 2022 (MLN): Contrary to the trend in global markets, gold rates in the domestic bullion market slipped by Rs300 per tola on Wednesday as 24-karat was available at Rs125,700 per tola compared to Rs126,000 per tola yesterday, Karachi Sarafa and Jewellers Group reported.

On a similar note, 10-gram of 24-karat gold was down by Rs258 at Rs107,767 per tola compared to Rs108,025 yesterday.

Besides, the price of silver remained static as 24-Karat silver and 10-gram of silver were available at Rs1,450 per tola, and Rs1,243 respectively.

In the international market, the price of gold witnessed an increase of $11 to settle at $1,818 an ounce while silver was valued at $22.83 an ounce compared to $22.68 yesterday.
