Gold rises to Rs113,500 per tola

September 23, 2021 (MLN): Continuing its upward journey, the demand for gold in the bullion market increased today as the price of 24-karat gold surged by Rs250 to close at Rs113,500 per tola.

Similarly, the price of 10-gram of 24k gold also inched up by Rs214 and was traded at Rs97,308 while, the 10gm 22k gold was valued at Rs89,200, Karachi Sarafa and Jewellers Association reported.

On the other hand, the price of 24-karat silver and 10-gram silver witnessed no change and stood at Rs1400 and Rs1200.27, respectively.

In the international market, the demand for gold scratched by $1 to trade at $1,772 per ounce on the back of a Fed’s decision where it decided to maintain the policy rate. Meanwhile, silver was valued at $22.68 an ounce.
