Gold prices edge lower in Pakistan

Gold price dips Rs600 per tola

May 07, 2024 (MLN): Gold prices in Pakistan edged lower on Tuesday, with the price of 24-karat gold losing Rs500 per tola to Rs240,000.

Last week, 24-karat gold dropped by Rs6,400 per tola, taking the cumulative loss over the past two weeks to Rs14,200 per tola or 5.63%.

The Karachi Sarafa Association further reported the price of 24-karat gold at Rs205,761 per 10-gram, down Rs429 DoD.

Similarly, the price of 22-karat gold was quoted lower at Rs188,615 per 10-gram.

Meanwhile, silver prices remained unchanged in the domestic market, with 24-karat silver being sold at Rs2,620 per tola and Rs2,254.8 per 10-gram.

On the global front, international spot gold traded near $2,314.5 an ounce, down by 0.41% compared to the last close.
