Gold prices bounce back after last week’s drop

May 06, 2024 (MLN): Gold prices in Pakistan rebounded on Monday, with the price of 24-karat gold gaining Rs2,500 per tola to Rs240,500.

Last week, 24-karat gold dropped by Rs6,400 per tola, taking the cumulative loss over the past two weeks to Rs14,200 per tola or 5.63%.

The Karachi Sarafa Association further reported the price of 24-karat gold at Rs206,190 per 10-gram, up Rs2,143 DoD.

Similarly, the price of 22-karat gold was quoted higher at Rs189,007 per 10-gram.

Meanwhile, silver prices remained unchanged in the domestic market, with 24-karat silver being sold at Rs2,620 per tola and Rs2,254.8 per 10-gram.

On the global front, international spot gold traded near $2,322 an ounce, up by 0.88% compared to the last close.
