Gold picks up Rs 500 to Rs 89,500 per tola

March 17, 2020 (MLN): Gold picked up by Rs 500 to Rs 89,500 per tola due to a continued carnage in capital markets. The precious yellow metal had closed at Rs 89,000 per tola on the last day.

According to the Karachi Sarafa Association, 10-gram gold gained Rs 429 to settle at Rs 76,732.

On the other hand, the silver prices remained stable at Rs 990 per tola. Similarly, 10-gram silver remained steady at Rs 771.60.

In the global market, gold prices inched up by $3 to $1,473 per ounce while silver was valued at $12.30 per ounce.
