Gold extends losses, closes at Rs125,600 per tola

January 13, 2022 (MLN): Extending losses in the domestic bullion market, yellow metal prices edged lower by Rs100 per tola on Thursday as 24-karat was traded at Rs125,600 per tola compared to Rs126,700 per tola yesterday, Karachi Sarafa and Jewellers Group reported.

On a similar note, 10-gram of 24-karat gold was down by Rs85 at Rs107,682 per tola compared to Rs107,767 yesterday.

However, the price of silver remained static as 24-Karat silver and 10-gram of silver were available at Rs1,450 per tola, and Rs1,243 respectively.

In the international market, the price of gold witnessed an increase of $4 to reach $1,822 an ounce while silver was valued at $22.24 an ounce.
