Gold extends gains to hit new high of Rs125,600 per tola

October 22, 2021 (MLN): Gold extended gains on Friday in the domestic market as the price of 24-karat gold reached a new high of Rs125,600 per tola, up by Rs1,400 when compared to Rs124,200 per tola recorded yesterday.

According to data provided by Karachi Sarafa and Jewellers Association, the price of 10-gram of 24k gold also jumped by Rs1,201 and was traded at Rs107,682 while the 10gm 22k gold was valued at Rs98,708.

On the other hand, the price of 24-karat silver and 10-gram of 24-karat silver remained unchanged at Rs1,470 and Rs1,260.28, respectively.

In the international market, the gold prices climbed by $8 to reach $1,793 an ounce due to rising inflation fears amid supply disruptions and soaring energy prices.
