Gatron Industries set for expansion, benefiting from regulatory duty on polyester import

October 22, 2018 (MLN): Gatron Industries Limited has decided to expand the manufacturing facilities of its Polyester Filament Yarn, divulged the company in its latest statement issued to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).

In light of recent support extended by the government as it imposed regulatory duty on imports, Gatron industries has planned to seize the opportunity for substitution of significant imports of polyester filament yarn in the country.

“Certain underway projects will be implemented for production in 2018-19 and further additions in plant and machinery has just been contracted which will commence production in two phases in the next two years,” read the notification.
