Forex reserves drop to $23.9bn in a week

January 13, 2022 (MLN): The foreign exchange reserves held by the country dipped by $117 million or 0.5% WoW to stand at $23.9 billion during the week ended on January 7, 2021, compared to $23.9 billion in the previous week, weekly data released by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) showed on Thursday.

As per the data, the reserves held by the central bank during the week decreased by $88mn to $17.6bn.

Similarly, the commercial banks’ reserves moved down by $29mn to $6.30bn from $6.33bn in the previous week.
