Foreigners withdraw another $65.24 million from local market on Thursday

March 20, 2020 (MLN): Foreign Investors withdrew $65.24 million (net) in a single day session via Special Convertible Rupee Account (SCRA) on Thursday 19, 2020, wherein the majority of the selling worth $52.43 million was witnessed in Treasury Bills (T-bills).

Country- wise, the highest withdrawal of $32.8 million from government securities was observed from UK, followed by US as it detracted $19.5 million in yesterday’s session.

According to the daily SCRA position released by SBP, the foreigners have pulled out $2.46 billion since July 2019, thus, bringing the total net inflows to stand at $1.659 billion.

Cumulatively, the total foreign inflow in T-Bills from July 2019 to date, has been recorded at $3.43 billion, while the total outflow has been recorded at $1.64 billion.
