Foreign Investment in July jumps to $107 million

August 21, 2019 (MLN): Foreign Investment during July 2019 jumped from $105.8 million to $107.2 million in a month, recorded the State Bank of Pakistan.
The entire investment was witnessed in the private sector within which. $73.4 million were observed as direct investment while $33.9 million were invested in portfolios – equity securities to be specific.
Direct investment in the country has suffered a decline of 43.7% over the month while compared to the same period last year, it has come down by 59%.
However, $23 million worth of portfolio investments were pulled out last month.
