Foreign Investment drops by 77 percent YoY in July-December

January 16, 2019 (MLN): Overall foreign investment amounted to $899 million from July to December, demonstrating a fall of 77 percent YoY.

According to the data released by State Bank of Pakistan, the total foreign investment during the month of December stood at $230 million, showing a decline of 5.1% MoM.

The foreign direct investment dropped by 19.2% to $1,319 million, whereas Portfolio investment decreased by 217% to $419 million during the period Jul-Dec.
