FM for accelerating privatization process of loss making SOEs

April 27, 2022: Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Mr Miftah Ismail has underscored the need of accelerating the process of privatization of loss making State Owned Enterprises (SOEs), a press statement issued by the Finance Division on Wednesday.

This will help SOEs to bring in a greater level of efficiency, productivity and competitiveness in their performance and enhance the overall revenue base of the country, he said during the meeting with Mr Abid Hussain Bhayo, Federal Minister for Privatization at Finance Division, today.

The proposed privatization plan was discussed in the meeting. Finance Minister assured full support in resolving all pending issues that are impeding the privatization of loss-making entities.

Chairman Privatization Commission Mr Saleem Ahmad also attended the meeting.
