FLSmidth launches training program for Pakistani engineers

April 10, 2025 (MLN): A prominent Danish company, FLSmidth, has introduced a specialized training program Pakistani engineers, focusing on enhancing technical skills in minerals and mining.

The initiative is aimed at strengthening local expertise and contributing to the sustainable development of Pakistan’s mining sector.

The disclosure was made during a visit by a high-level FLSmidth delegation to Pakistan, where they met with Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik.

The delegation attended the Pakistan Minerals Investment Forum, where they highlighted the importance of this training program in supporting Pakistan’s vision for responsible resource development.

Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik expressed his appreciation for the initiative, commending FLSmidth’s dedication to sustainable mining practices, as per the press release.

He emphasized the government’s commitment to adopting advanced technologies in line with its policy of inclusive and sustainable mining, particularly in regions such as Balochistan.

The minister also mentioned that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is personally invested in the development of Balochistan, focusing on skill-building and improving employability.

The FLSmidth delegation also congratulated the minister on the success of the Pakistan Minerals Investment Forum.

They reaffirmed their commitment to contributing to Pakistan's sustainable growth by providing technological support and forming capacity-building partnerships.

The delegation stressed that technological advancements and skilled labor are crucial for the success of mining operations, and through collaboration, FLSmidth aims to play a significant role in enhancing Pakistan's mineral sector, fostering long-term socio-economic benefits.
