July 4, 2022 (MLN): Fauji Fertilizer Company Limited (FFC) has informed that its Mirpur Mathelo plant III has been temporarily shut down due to a technical fault at 23:05 PST on July 03, 2022, the notice sent to PSX said on Monday.

Whereas, Topline Securities reported on Twitter that FFC’s Mirpur Mathelo plant III has been reportedly shut down due to an explosion amid gas leakage.

The plant has a capacity of 718k tons/annum representing 35% of the total capacity.

Further clarity is still awaited on this to quantify the impact on the company's earnings, it added.
