Fertilizer sales rise 4% in July 2024

August 06, 2024 (MLN): Fertilizer sales, including urea and DAP, rose 4% YoY to 772,000 tonnes during July 2024, according to data compiled by brokerage house Arif Habib Limited (AHL).

The official monthly report on fertilizer offtake is usually issued by the National Fertilizer Development Company (NDFC) during mid of the month.

According to AHL's data, urea offtake fell 3% to 611,000 tonnes as against 629,000 tonnes in July 2023.

While DAP sales jumped 42% to 161,000 tonnes compared to a sale of 113,000 tonnes in the same month of last year.

On a company-wise basis, urea dispatches of EFERT and FATIMA declined by 7%, and 11%, clocking in at 247,000 tonnes, and 93,000 tonnes, respectively.

On the flip side, FFC and FFBL group reported a growth of 4%.

Meanwhile, DAP sales of FFC and FFBL combined witnessed a growth of 5% to 89,000 tonnes, AHL noted in its report.

EFERT’s DAP dispatches in July 2024 climbed up by 62% to arrive at 43,000 tonnes.

Moreover, FATIMA Group’s DAP sales witnessed a robust growth on a YoY basis, settling at 28,000 tonnes in July 2024
