Federal Minister Privatization chaired high power K-electric meeting today

September 10, 2020: Federal Minister for Privatiation Mohammedmian Soomro chaired a high power meeting of the IMCL to discuss matters relating to Karachi Electric (K-E). Federal Minister for Energy Omar Ayub, Federal Minister for Planning & Development Asad Umar, SAPM on Petroleum Nadeem Baber and Special Assistant to PM on Power Sector Shahzad Qasim attended the meeting.

The other participants who attended the meeting were the representatives from NTDC, KWSB, NEPRA, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Law, and officials of Privatisation.

The issues which were discussed in today’s meeting pertained to the issuance of National Security Certificate, payables receivables and other pending issues relevant to K-E.

The committee members discussed various options, the said options will be pursued actively to expeditiously resolve power issues of Karachi.
