European stocks drop at open

April 4, 2019: European stock markets slid in opening trade on Thursday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index down 0.6 percent at 7,376.54 points.

In the Eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 index lost 0.3 percent to 11,924.61 points and the Paris CAC 40 shed 0.2 percent to 5,460.83 compared with Wednesday's closing levels.
