EPCL successfully commissions high-temperature direct chlorination project

March 13, 2025 (MLN): Engro Polymer & Chemicals Limited’s (PSX: EPCL) efficiency project to adopt high-temperature direct chlorination, heat recovery patented technology has been successfully commissioned.

The project will help in increasing efficiency and reducing carbon footprint, the company's filing on PSX revealed today.

This project has been completed at a total cost of Rs5.8 billion.

EPCL’s principal activity is to manufacture, market, and sell Poly Vinyl Chloride (PVC), Vinyl Chloride Monomer (VCM), Caustic soda and other related chemicals.

The company is also engaged in the supply of surplus power generated from its power plants to Engro Fertilizers Limited.
