Energy relief package lifts industrial Power consumption by 15% in March

April 28, 2021 (MLN): The industrial Power consumption during the month of March’21 increased by 15% YoY compared to March 2019.

“Success of the Industrial Energy Package can be gauged by the fact that there is a 15% increase in industrial power consumption in March this year compared to March 2019 (not just 2020 as covid lockdown low base effect),” said Minister for Energy Hammad Azhar via his official Twitter handle on Wednesday.

During peak hours the increase is 38%, he further added.
