DHL Express to suspend ‘Import Express Product’, restrict outbound shipments from Pakistan

February 27, 2023 (MLN): DHL Express, the leading international express service provider, will suspend its "Import Express Product" and restrict outbound shipments to a maximum of 70 kg per shipment for all customers billed in Pakistan from March 15, 2023, the company informed through a notice to its customers on Monday.

The move comes as the regulatory authorities in Pakistan have imposed restrictions on outward remittances for foreign companies, making it unsustainable for DHL Express to continue providing the full range of product offerings in Pakistan.

The last pick-up date for shipments under the current service offerings will be March 14th, 2023. Shipments picked up on or before this date will still be delivered.

DHL Express has assured its customers that it understands the significance of express shipping for their business and supply chain and is in regular contact with the authorities to resume the full suite of services in Pakistan at the earliest.

The company also apologized for the inconvenience caused by the suspension of the "Import Express Product" and the restriction on outbound shipments and thanked its customers for their continued partnership and understanding of the situation.
