DAP offtake plummets by 17 percent in June

July 25, 2019 (MLN): The total DAP offtake during the month of June was 158 thousand tonnes, which decreased by 16.9 percent over June, 2018.
DAP offtake increased by 53 percent in Balochistan, while its offtake decreased in Punjab, Sindh and KP by 18, 16 and 33 per cent respectively over June, 2018.
Total availability of DAP during June 2019 was 657 thousand tonnes comprising opening balance of 503 thousand tonnes, imported supplies of about 83 thousand tonnes and local production of 71 thousand tonnes . The closing balance of DAP worked out to be 504 thousand tonnes.
The cumulative dap offtake during first three months of Kharif 2019 was 457 thousand tonnes, showing an upward trend of 42.3 percent over same timeframe of Kharif 2018.
