Crackdown against heavy vehicle owners

June 21, 2019 (MLN): The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) along with the Excise and Taxation Department has dug down information regarding owners of heavy vehicles in order to bring into spotlight those owners who have been sidestepping taxes.

So far, the authorities have identified around 13,193 such vehicles, 9,230 of which were Vigo/Hilux, 1,605 were Land Cruisers, 1,970 were Prado, 45 were Audi, 272 were Mercedes Benz and around 71 were BMW.

The FBR has also insisted that everyone must declare such vehicles and assets by 30^th of June, 2019.
