Corporate Alerts: Public Announcement, Army Welfare Trust to acquire up to 24percent shares of East West Life Assurance Company

In a release, Elixir Securities have informed about submission of a Public Announcement Offer by Army Welfare Trust “AWT” to acquire up to 14,742,143 ordinary shares of East West Life Assurance Company Limited “EWLA”, constituting 24.5% of the total issued and paid up capital of EWLA.

The public announcement was set to be published in local Urdu and English dailies, however because of recent comments from Securities and Exchange Commission Pakistan; a revised date will be issued shortly by the involved to publish the Public Announcement.
