Market closed on a tally of 48,555.30 points or a -0.46%. The market was in a much better position today compared to yesterday’s performance as the drop in the market opened up opportunities for seasoned investors to re enter.

The net gainers during today’s session were; Unilever Pakistan Foods Ltd. UPFL +2.03%, Colgate-Palmolive Ltd. COLG +4.62%, Service Industries Ltd. SRVI +2.35%, ICI Pakistan Ltd. ICI +2.53% and Packages Limited PKGS +3.12%.

The net decliners during the session were; Sapphire Textile Mills Ltd. SAPT -5.00%, Rafhan Maize Products Company Ltd. RMPL -0.93%, Exide Pakistan Ltd. EXIDE -3.93%, The Thal Industries Corporation TICL -5.00% and Mari Petroleum MARI -1.39%.

All Share Volume decreased by 182.17 Million to 221.76 Million Shares. Market Cap decreased by Rs.60.24 Billion.

Total companies traded were 356 compared to 394 from the previous session. Of the scrips traded 155 closed up, 190 closed down while 11 remained unchanged.
