China to establish solar panel plant, testing lab in Punjab

August 12, 2024 (MLN): In a significant development, China is set to establish a solar panel manufacturing and assembly plant in Punjab.

An agreement to this effect was signed in Lahore between Punjab's Industry Minister, Chaudhry Shafay Hussain, and AIKO, a Chinese solar energy company.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that the first solar panel manufacturing plant and solar panel testing lab will be built in the province.
