China Railway sees record 133m passenger trips during Labor day holiday

May 05, 2023 (MLN): China's railway passenger flow surged by 26.59% to 133 million during the five-day labor day holiday, data from China State Railway Group Co., Ltd. (China Railway) showed on Friday.

This was 27.94m more than during the same holiday period in 2019, said China Railway.

The number of daily passenger trips served by China's railways recorded a new high for single-day passenger traffic and reached 19.66m on April 29, as APP reported.

To satisfy people's considerable travel needs, China's railways have maximized their transportation potential and increased capacity while improving service quality to ensure passengers have better experiences.
